Dedicated to an important event in the European history of the first half of the 17th century, which actually decided the fate of Christian civilization - the 400th anniversary of the Khotyn epic, during which the Ottoman army was stopped at the Moldovan border by the joint efforts of the Zaporozhye-Polish-Lithuanian army. In September 1621, the army of many thousands of Ottoman Sultan II met on the battlefield, which was opposed by an army of much smaller numbers. The Ottomans stormed Cossack positions seventeen times and about ten times - the positions of the Polish-Lithuanian forces. The role of the Zaporozhye army, led by a brilliant politician and commander Pyotr Konashevich-Sagaidachny, who imposed the tactics of a night war on the enemy, was especially significant. Considering the huge losses (the Ottoman army II was missing about 40 thousand soldiers), the Ottoman Empire was forced to abandon plans to conquer Europe and sign the Khotin peace treaty.
