The small State Emblem of Ukraine, semicircular inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE is placed on the obverse of the coin at the top. The composition is based on one of the first Puluyev (X-ray) images of the valuable jewelery that I. Pului made before 1895; in the bottom of the semicircle - face value and the year of coinage - 5 griven / 2010.

Dedicated to Ivan Pavlovich Puluyu - the inventor and physicist, who earlier Wilhelm-Conrad Roentgen discovered the features of the cathodes of the rays, later called X-rays. Ivan Pului is the author of about 50 scientific and popular science papers on physics and electrical engineering in Ukrainian, German and English. In addition, he was a connoisseur of ancient languages ​​and left behind a large creative legacy, participated in the translation of the Bible into Ukrainian, together with P.
