On the obverse of the coin there is a miner's lamp (left) that illuminates the stylized outlines of industrial enterprises (right) and the inscriptions are placed: on a mirror background in a semicircle above - NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, under which is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, below - 2 / hryvnia / 2007 and logo Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The reverse of the coin shows the logo of the anniversary events to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Donetsk region, the inscriptions DONETSK AREA (above) are placed in a circle, founded in 1932 (below).

Dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Donetsk region, located in the south-eastern part of Ukraine. The availability of fuel, energy and mineral resources in the region created the conditions for the development of an industrial complex with a high concentration of heavy industry, scientific and social infrastructure.
