On the obverse of the coin are placed: at the top - the small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which is the inscription NATIONAL BANK / UKRAINE surrounded by stylized floral ornament, denomination 5 / griven; below - the year of minting of the coin 2011, as well as the designation of the metal, its samples - Ag 925, mass in purity - 15.55 and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin, surrounded by a stylized vegetative ornament, a cat (eyes of green alpinite) is depicted in the popular print style. Above this composition and below it are the figure figures of all 12 characters of the eastern calendar.
