On the obverse of the coin is an image of a small State Emblem of Ukraine framed in branches of viburnum. Above the coat of arms is the date 1996 - the year of coinage. In the circle of the coin the inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, below under the emblem in two lines inscription TWO hryvnia.

On the reverse of the coin there are images of change coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50 kopecks and 1 hryvnia. At the top in two lines the inscription COINS OF UKRAINE.
