On the obverse of the coin in the frame of an ornament from plants and birds there are inscriptions: in the middle - 2 hryvnias, in the upper part - the small State Emblem of Ukraine, above which is the inscription: UKRAINE, and below under the image of the nest with three chicks - the year of coinage 2001.

On the reverse of the coin, in the center of the composition, a jet is depicted combining water, nature and the sun; on both sides of it are the figures of a boy and a girl, who rejoice at this life-giving jet; below - an open book and a ribbon with the inscription: GOOD - CHILD.
