On the obverse of a coin in the center of a circle formed by a pattern of beads, there is an image of a small State Emblem of Ukraine framed in branches of viburnum. Above the coat of arms is the date 1997 - the year of coinage. In a circle of inscription: at the top of Ukraine, at the bottom in two lines 2 hryvnia. The inscriptions are separated from each other by decorative signs.

The reverse of the coin shows a cartouche with an inscription in it in three lines. 28 JUNE 1996 A heraldic ornament above the cartouche. The whole composition is framed with a pattern of beads. In the circle of the coin inscription FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE CONSTITUTION OF UKRAINE
