On the obverse of the coin in the center there is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine, to the right and to the left of it are stylized images of the stadium stands and bay leaves. Above the emblem is the inscription UKRAINE, under the emblem of 1996 is the year of coinage. At the bottom in a circle the denomination designation: 2000000 RUBLES. On silver coins on both sides of the date of minting are placed the designations and the sample of the precious metal Ag 925 and its weight in purity 31.1.

On the reverse of the coin in the right part of the field is a fragment of an antique column, above the capital of which the Olympic flame burns. Above the flame is the date 1896-1996 - the years of the I and XXVI modern Olympiads and the emblem of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. To the left of the column at the top in four lines is the inscription of the 100th ANNIVERSARY OF OLYMPIC GAMES OF THE PRESENT, below - a stylized bay leaf. The coin field is arranged in concentric lines symbolizing the stadium tracks.
