On the obverse of the coin in the frame of the ancient Russian ornament is placed the image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the direct stylized inscription: UKRAINE, 10 griven, designations and metal samples - Ag 925 and its clean weight - 31.1

On the reverse of the coin, on the background of the imitated scroll, is depicted in the knightly armor of the prince, directing his warriors to the naval campaign. The coin contains straight stylized inscriptions: ASKOLD IX c. (Above) and PRINCE UKRAINE (at the bottom in two lines).
