Dedicated to the witness of historical events on the territory of the Galician land, the bastion castle, built in the first half of the 17th century, the Zolochevsky castle, which represents the neo-Dutch type of defensive structures. Located on a low hill, the castle at one time served both for defense and for housing, that is, it refers to monuments such as “palazzo in fortezzo”. The defenses of Zolochevsky Castle are ramparts, bastions, a gate tower, a bridge and a ravelin. The Renaissance ensemble is created by the entrance tower, the Large Residential and Chinese Palaces, which are one of the few examples of oriental architecture on Ukrainian lands. Zolochevsky castle - a museum-reserve of the Lviv national art gallery named after Boris Voznitsky? enters the tourist route “Golden Horseshoe of Lviv”.
