On the obverse of the coin at the top there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine, in a circle of inscriptions: NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE (above), FIVE GRIVEN (below), to the right - the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine; in the center is the composition: St. George’s Monastery in Cossack graves, under which the coin minting year is 2014, a fragment of the Dubensky castle (right), a stylized image of the Ostrog bible against the background of plant composition and the symbol of the peaceful atom.

On the reverse of the coin, the coat of arms of the region is depicted, the inscriptions are placed in a circle: Rivne region (above), founded in 1939 (below).

It is dedicated to the region, which has more than 600 explored mineral deposits, unique among which are deposits of basalt and amber. Rivne is a unique castle culture, picturesque landscapes, significant tracts of forests. Rivne region is located in the north-west of Ukraine, has an advantageous geographical position and a developed transport network, its industry is dominated by the production of linen fabrics, nonwovens, chipboard, plywood, mineral fertilizers and energy capacity.
