The obverse of the coin shows a composition of seven Easter eggs decorated with ornaments from different regions of Ukraine, in the middle of which is placed the small State Emblem of Ukraine, and above it the minting year of the coin is 2003; surrounded by a stylized willow ornament are placed the inscriptions: UKRAINE, 5 griven, and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
The reverse of the coin shows a multi-figured composition (a solemn exit from the church with a shroud, crosses, banners and candles, led by a priest) with a traditional festive rite of consecration, above which is placed the inscription: PASHA.
Dedicated to the largest holiday of the Christian religion - Easter, which is accompanied by an all-night vigil, solemn processions, church chanting and chants glorifying Jesus Christ, who by his resurrection conquered death and discovered the mystery of eternal life.
