Dedicated to a world-renowned scientist, founder of Ukrainian schools in the field of bridge building and electric welding, an outstanding engineer and teacher, Yevgeny Oskarovich Paton (1870-1953). On his initiative, the Electric Welding Laboratory was established at the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
