On the obverse of the coin at the top there is a small National Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription NATIONAL / BANK / UKRAINE; in the center - a dynamic composition with the image of an offensive operation with the participation of tank forces; at the bottom the denomination is FIVE GRIVEN, under it the year of minting of the coin is 2014 and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin, the composition is depicted on a mirror background: a star from the movie of the Order of Glory, in the center of which there is an inscription of 70 / years, a laurel branch, and also the inscriptions: LIBERATION OF NIKOPOL FROM NAZI CAPTURERS (in a circle) and 1944 (below).
