On the obverse of the coin in the circle of beads is placed the small State Emblem of Ukraine, above which is the mintage year of the coin - 2010; there are circular inscriptions between the beads around and the piping of the coin: NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE (above), 2 UAH (below), as well as the designation of the metal, its samples - Au 999.9 (left), weight - 1.24 and the Mint logo of the National Bank Ukraine (right).

On the reverse of the coin a bee is depicted and placed in a semicircle of the inscription: BEE (above), APIS MELLIFERA (below).
