On the obverse of the coin there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine, the semicircle inscription is the NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, the nominal value is 2 / GRIVN, the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine, the coinage year 2010 and the image in the rays of the searchlight aircraft La which flew I.N. Kozhedub.

The reverse of the coin depicts a portrait of Ivan Kozhedub (left) against the background of a stylized airfield with a plane, under which are the inscriptions: IVAN / KOCHEDUB / 1920/1991.
