On the obverse of the coin in the frame of the ancient Russian ornament, reproduced based on the images on the crown of the ritual horn from the Chernihiv mound Black Tomb (X century), there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine and stylized inscriptions: 2002, UKRAINE, 10 griven, as well as the Mint logo, metal designation, its samples - Ag 925 and weight in purity - 31.1

On the reverse of the coin against the background of pagan idols and the battle scene there is a belt image of a prince-warrior who holds his sword above his head, and his left hand a shield with the image of the sun, as well as stylized inscriptions: 964 Svyatoslav 972 (above) and in two lines: KNYAHA UKRAINE (below).
