Dedicated to the capital of Hetman, the residence of the hetmans of the Left-Bank Ukraine D. Mnogogreshny, I. Samoylovich, Mazepa and K. Razumovsky - Baturin. Since 1669, the highest government institutions were located and functioned here, representatives of the Cossack officers lived. Destroyed in 1708 by order of Tsar Peter I, Baturin was revived and for the second and last time became the capital of the Cossack state for hetman Kirill Razumovsky, but remained a symbol of national statehood forever.
