On the obverse of the coins in the frame of a wreath, formed from images of certain types of flora and fauna, is placed the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the Mint logo and the inscription: on a silver coin UKRAINE / 10 / griven / 2000 and the metal Ag 925, weight clean 31.1.

On the reverse of the coins there is an image of a freshwater crab with a snail in algae and circular inscriptions: freshwater KRAB / POTAMON TAURICUM.
