A small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions in four lines are placed on the obverse of the coins framed by a wreath formed from images of certain types of flora and fauna: on a silver coin - UKRAINE, 10 griven, 2001, and the designation of the metal and its sample - Ag 925 clean weight - 31.1 and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine
The reverse of the coins depicts a lynx with a cub sitting on a branch, and circular inscriptions: at the top is an ordinary lynx, at the bottom is LYNX LYNX.

It is dedicated to the endangered species of coniferous trees with valuable larch wood from the Polish Larix polonica Racib (pine family - Pinaceae), common in the Ukrainian Carpathians and listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.
