The obverse of the coin shows a composition of historical and architectural monuments of the city, including the monument to Maria Rivne Nesvitskaya, the Assumption Church, Holy Protection Cathedral, etc., above is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the semicircular inscription NATIONAL BANK of UKRAINE, under which - 5 / HRIVEN / 2008 and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine (right).

The reverse of the coin contains a stylized scroll of parchment, which depicts the scene of the battle between the Polish and Lithuanian troops, from the mention of which the city’s counting begins. To the right and left of the scroll is a stylized ornament, above which is placed the emblem of the city (left) and the inscription 725 / YEARS (right); at the bottom of the semicircle of the inscription - the first written mention.
