On the obverse of the coin in the circle of beads is placed the small State Emblem of Ukraine, above which is the year of minting of the coin - 2008; between the beads around and the edge of the coin are the inscriptions: NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE (above), 2 UAH (below), as well as the designation of the metal, its samples - Au 999.9 (left), weight - 1.24 and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine (on right).

On the reverse of the coin there is a golden plate-application in the form of the serpent goddess Api and the inscription of Scythian gold (below) is placed.
