The obverse of the coin depicts the small State Emblem of Ukraine, underneath the year of coinage - 2016, framed by an ancient Russian ornament in three lines of inscriptions: UKRAINE / 1 / ГРИВНЯ, and the logo of the Banknote-Monetary Yard of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin there is a stylized composition: a single coin in the background of one-coin banknotes and inscriptions: the money reform in Ukraine (at the top of the semicircle), 20 / YEARS and the sign of the hryvnia ₴ (below).
