In the center of the coin is the composition - the cross-enkolpion and the figures-symbols of the four evangelists: Matthew in the image of an angel, Mark in the image of a lion, Luke in the image of a calf, John in the image of an eagle. Each of them is winged and holds the gospel.
On the reverse of the 5 hryvnia coin are placed a multi-figure composition: Vladimir the Great and Andrew the First-Called, who hold the cross, Saints Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves, Cyril and Methodius, above - the Zimnenskaya icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, on both sides of which are angels, at the bottom there is a semicircular stylized inscription - 1025- anniversary of the baptism of Kievan Rus.
Dedicated to the introduction of Christianity as the state religion by Vladimir the Great, which contributed to the unification and strengthening of Kievan Rus, the spread of writing, opened up broad prospects for economic and cultural ties, and the like.
