On the obverse of the coin at the top there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine, in a circle of inscriptions: NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE (above), FIVE GRIVEN (below), to the right - the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine; in the center - the image of the church in the village of Subotov, gazebos from the park `Sofiyvka`, kobza, ears of wheat; at the top is the year of coinage 2014.

On the reverse of the coin, the coat of arms of the region is depicted; there are inscriptions in a circle: Cherkasy region (above), founded in 1954 (below).

Dedicated to the picturesque Cossack region, spread out on the banks of the Dnieper, the birthplace of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Taras Shevchenko. This is an area that has a powerful economic potential and is known for its black soils, colorful towels, called the “heart of Ukraine”.
