Awers
The obverse of the coin depicts the plane ʻIlya Muromets`, for the development of which Sikorsky received worldwide recognition in 1913. Above, on a relief background, there is an inscription in a semicircle - NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, under which is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, on a mirror background is the year of minting of the coin 2009, face value is 2 grivnas (bottom) and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Rewers
The reverse of the coin depicts a portrait of Sikorsky in the form of a pilot, to the right of which there are inscriptions on the background of a Leonardo da Vinci drawing - IGOR Sikorsky (in a semicircle), years of life - 1889 - 1972.

Dedicated to one of the pioneers of aviation, the designer of aircraft and helicopters, the industrialist - Sikorsky Igor Ivanovich. Studying at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute (1907 - 1914), Igor Sikorsky began working on the first developments of future helicopters. From 1910 built the aircraft. The first multi-engined airplanes in the world - `Grand`, ʻIlya Muromets`,` Russian Vityaz` - its designs.
