On the obverse of the coin, against the background of the unfolded cloth that crosses the ribbon with the image of sports, is placed the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription: UKRAINE, 2, hryvnia, 2000.

On the reverse of the coin there is an image of a gymnast with a ribbon and inscriptions: XXVII, SUMMER, Olympic, Games and SYDNEY 2000.
