On the obverse of the coin in the center of a circle formed by a pattern of beads, there is an image of the Trinity Gate Church of the Lavra ensemble and a fragment of its main bell tower. The right shows the small State Emblem of Ukraine. Below in a circle - the denomination of the nominal in two lines is 200 griven, above it 1996 is the year of release. In the circle of the inscription coin: on the left is UKRAINE, at the top and on the right is KIEV-Pechersk Lavra.

On the reverse of the coin in the upper part of the composition there are fragments of murals of the Trinity Gate Church: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit with appropriate inscriptions in Old Slavonic script. Under them is depicted the Mother of God, the patroness of the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks. All images are placed on the clouds. At the bottom, the composition is united by a panorama of Lavra, which is based on an engraving by L. Tarasevich with `Paterik Pechorsky` (1702). The images are closed in a circle, which is formed by a pattern of beads. On the sides of the image there is a designation and test of the precious metal Au 900 and its weight in purity is 15.55.
