The obverse of the coin in the center shows the small State Emblem of Ukraine, under it - the year of coinage - 2006, in a circle are placed the inscriptions: NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE (top), TWO GRIVNY (bottom) and logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The reverse of the coin shows a portrait of Ostapenko against the background of a stylized ornament and inscription: SERGEY Ostapenko (left), FEBRUARY - / APRIL / 1919 and the CHAIRMAN of the Council of People’s Ministers of the UNR (below in a semicircle).
