On the obverse of the coin on a matte background there is an inscription in a semicircle UKRAINE (above), the denomination is TWENTY fifty GRIVEN (below); in the center, on a mirror background, in a circle with a stylized floral ornament - the small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which is the year of minting of the coin 2016.

The reverse of the coin against the background of a stylized bouquet depicts a map of Ukraine with a yellow and blue flag (the decoration is enamel) and an inscription of 25 years (above the map), INDEPENDENCE OF UKRAINE (on the map).
