The obverse of the coin shows an arch with a colonnade (the main entrance to the city park), under it is a fragment of an ornament that is used on Krolevets towels, at the top is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the inscriptions are in four lines: UKRAINE / 2001/5 / griven and the Coin logo courtyard of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin, the city’s coat of arms is depicted in the frame of the elements of geometrically vegetative ornament with birds characteristic for Krolevets, as well as the inscriptions: 400 years old at the top and KROLEVETS stylized (below).

It is dedicated to the regional center of Sumy region Krolevets, founded in 1601 and already in 1644 received Magdeburg law.
