On the obverse there are coins: at the top is the inscription UKRAINE, the small State Emblem of Ukraine; in the center - a stylized composition: on the background of the theatrical backstage there is a film, on the mirror background - theatrical masks; at the bottom - the year of coinage 2016, face value 2 hryvnia and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The reverse of the coin depicts Bohdan Stupka, to the left of which is the inscription BOGDAN / Stupka / 1941/2012.

The coin is dedicated to the outstanding Ukrainian actor, Hero of Ukraine Bogdan Silvestrovich Stupka. Bogdan Stupka was subject to any images and characters: he played more than 150 roles in the cinema and on the theater stage. In the cinema, the actor made his debut with the role of Orestes Zvonar in the film by Yuri Ilyenko `The White Bird with a Black Sign` (1971). Stupka played a lot of historical figures - hetmans Ivan Bryukhovetsky, Ivan Mazepa, Bogdan Khmelnytsky, as well as Genghis Khan, Boris Godunov, Ostap Vishnya and others. For his leading role in the play Tevʻe-Tevel, Bogdan Stupka was awarded the Taras Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine in the field of theatrical art (1993).
