On the obverse there are coins: at the top is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription UKRAINE; in the center on a mirror background is the building of Lviv University of Trade and Economics, above which is the year of minting 2016 (left) and the inscription 200 / years (right) below: face value TWO GRIVNY and logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (right).

The reverse of the coin contains the emblem of the university with the year of its foundation in 1816 and the semicircular inscription: LVIV TRADE ECONOMIC UNIVERSITY, LITTERIS ET COMMERCIUM.
