The obverse of the coin in the center depicts the small State Emblem of Ukraine against the background of a multi-figured composition embodying the idea of ​​a shot state revival: a column of armed youths is sent to the perspective through the center of the target marked on the coin field with three concentric circles. To the left and right of the image dates of 1918-1998. In a circle of inscriptions: at the top of Ukraine and at the bottom in two lines 2 hryvnia.

On the reverse of the coin there is a composition of two parts, reproducing the historical moment of confrontation between two forces: on the left - static figures of young men-heroes as the personification of the defense of the independence of the UPR; on the right, a dynamic depiction of an allegory of the Bolshevik intervention in the form of an outstretched arm, which paves the way for the attacking cavalry.
