The obverse of the coins contains a composition of lines that symbolically reproduce the dynamics of modern world economic processes, international mathematical signs and the hryvnia sign. On the background of the composition is placed the inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, under it is the small State Emblem of Ukraine (above), the year of minting of the coin 2006 (right) and the inscription - 2 / hryvnia, the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The reverse of the coins depicts the building of the university, above which the year of its foundation is indicated - 1906, the inscriptions are placed: at the bottom in two lines - 100 YEARS, in a circle - the Vadim Getman Kyiv National Economic University.

Dedicated to the Kiev National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, which was established on the basis of the first in Ukraine Higher Commercial Courses, founded in Kiev in 1906. Significant experience and creative potential of the university allowed him to become one of the leaders of the restructuring of higher education and university science in the conditions of the formation of an independent Ukraine and the formation of market relations in the Ukrainian economy.
