On the obverse of the coin on the mirror background above is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which the inscription is NATIONAL / BANK / UKRAINE, bottom right is 2 / HRIVN, the year of coinage is 2007 (bottom), a chestnut leaf is on the left and logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin, a portrait of Oleg Olzhich is shown and the inscriptions are posted: 1907/1944 (left) and OLEG / OLZHICH (right) from the portrait.

Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the poet, public figure, archaeologist - Oleg Olzhich (Kandyba Oleg Alexandrovich). During World War II, Oleg Olzhich led the nationalist underground and was one of the organizers of the Ukrainian National Council in Kiev (1941). In 1944 he was arrested by the Gestapo men and died in a fascist concentration camp.
