On the obverse in the central circle, framed by stylized floral ornament, there is an image of Our Lady Odigitria with a baby - a fragment of the bas-relief above the portal of the church, preserved to our time. Above the image of the Mother of God is placed the State Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription UKRAINE in a circle, below is the inscription: 1996 is the year of minting of coins and two lines of 20 griven are the designation of the nominal value of the coin. The word HRIVEN is placed in a circle. To the left and to the right of the number 20 the designation and the sample of the precious metal Ag 925 and its weight in purity 31.11 are placed. The whole composition is framed in a circle pattern of beads.

The reverse of the coins in the center shows the outlines of the Church of the Tithe for the reconstruction of Professor Yu.S. Aseev. To create the impression that the structure does not really exist. These contours are served by mirror lines on a matte background and seem to grow on a real-life foundation from the bottom up with a gradual manifestation of the relief. On the upper matte part of the coin in a circle with mirror lines are placed the inscriptions KYIV, Church of the Tithes, 996, Separated from each other by stylized images of birds. Below on the mirror background there is a ribbon with the inscription on it SPIRITUAL TREASURES OF UKRAINE
