On the obverse of the coin, against the background of the unfolded cloth that crosses the ribbon with the image of sports, is placed the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription: UKRAINE, 2, hryvnia, 2000.

On the reverse of the coin there is an image of the yachtsman and the inscriptions: SYDNEY 2000 and XXVII, SUMMER, Olympic, Games.
