On the obverse of the coin in the center of a circle formed from dots there is an image of a small State Emblem of Ukraine framed in branches of viburnum. Copper-nickel alloy coin - the emblem contains the date 1995 - the year of coin minting, and under the emblem - an inscription of 200,000 RUBLES in a line in two lines, indicating the nominal value of the coin (the number 200000 is placed in a dotted circle). The inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE between the external edging and from the points at the top of the circle is separated from both sides of the word RUBLES by dividing marks in the form of rhombuses. The outer edge protrudes above the surface of the coin.
On the reverse of the coin in the center there is a photographic image of the monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky on the Sofia Square in Kiev. In the circle of the inscription coin: BOGDAN on the left, to the right of the Khmelnitsky monument, 1595-1657 against a pedestal.
