On the obverse of the coin are placed: at the top a small State Emblem of Ukraine, in a circle of inscriptions: NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE (above), FIVE CHERRY (below), on the right - the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine; in the center - a composition symbolizing the Crimea: Bear Mountain (Ayu-Dag), to the right of which is the year of minting of the coin 2018; against the background of stylized waves - an antique ship, under which - the Khan Palace in Bakhchisarai, a gazebo in Chersonese, where Prince Vladimir was baptized (left), below - a bunch of grapes, an amphora, Tatar and antique coins, flowers of mountain lavender.

On the reverse of the coin there is a stylized map of Ukraine against the background of the ornament from the work `Dish` by the author Rustem Skibin, in a circle are placed the inscriptions: AUTONOMOUS REPUBLIC OF CRIMEA (above) (below).

It is dedicated to an autonomous administrative-territorial unit in the south of Ukraine, located on the Crimean peninsula, which is washed by the waters of the Black and Azov seas, and the Sivash lake separates the peninsula from mainland Ukraine. Crimea has a huge resort and recreational potential, which provides natural resort factors and unique landscapes, is famous for its numerous monuments of archeology, history, culture, architecture and urban planning. The rich history of the Crimea and the peoples that formed its ethnic face today? Ukrainians, Crimean Tatars, Russians, Greeks, Armenians and other ethnic and ethno-confessional communities. In 2014, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea was insidiously occupied by the Russian Federation. The violent annexation of Crimea is not recognized by the Ukrainian state and the international community, which consider the peninsula a temporarily occupied territory. The commemorative coin continues the series devoted to the regions and territorial structure of our state.
