On the obverse of the coin at the top there is an inscription in a semicircle UKRAINE, in a towel frame, which shows stylized bird (left) and flowers (right) - the small National Emblem of Ukraine, under it there are three lines of inscriptions: 2, GRIVNY, 2003 and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine .
The reverse of the coin depicts a portrait of Andrei Malyshko; in the background there is a rural landscape - the sun is on the left, trees, on the right is a house, there are mallows and there are inscriptions in the bottom of the semicircle: 1912-1970 ANDREI MALYSHKO.
