Description

Obverse
Stylized eagle - a symbol of Germany and the 12 stars of the European Union. The inscription "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND" ("FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY"), the year of minting, as well as the sign of the mint.
Reverse
The artist managed very well to imagine the theme of the coin in all its complexity: the Trier Cathedral and the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary dominate here. Nearby are seven monuments of architecture in a temporary historical location. The inscription on the circumference is “RÖMISCHE BAUDENKMÄLER DOM UND LIEBFRAUENKIRCHE IN TRIER” (“ROMAN MONUMENTS OF ARCHITECTURE, COLLECTION AND CHURCH OF MARYILE IN MARIA IN TRIRE”); at the bottom of the coin: “UNESCO WELTERBE” (“UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE”) in two lines.
Description
Coins minted in all German mints.
