On the obverse of the coin at the top there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine, in a circle of inscriptions: NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE (above), FIVE GRIVEN (below), on the right - the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine and stylized composition: the first book published in Ukraine - Lviv Apostle 1574 , on the left, the year of coinage - 2014; on the background of the mountains - the mineral water pump-room and the Olesky castle, an oil-extracting pumping unit, at the bottom - a Turk and a cup.
On the reverse of the coin, the coat of arms of the region is depicted; there are inscriptions in a circle: Lviv region (above), founded in 1939 (below).
Dedicated to one of the largest cultural, educational and industrial-agrarian regions in the west of Ukraine. Lviv is a powerful European transport hub.
