On the obverse of the coin at the top there is a small State Emblem of Ukraine and a semicircle inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE; in the center - a stylized image: the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary - a mosaic based on the sketches of Nicholas Roerich in a church located in the village of Parkhomovka in the Kyiv region; left - the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine; at the bottom of the denomination - 2 hryvnia and the year of coinage - 2014.
On the reverse of the coin, Nicholas Roerich is depicted on a stylized background of mountains. He holds Kobzar in his hand - one of the most beloved books. The inscription NICHOLAS RERICH is placed in a semicircle at the top, the years of his life are 1874/1947 on the right.
