The Ascension Cathedral (the city of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky) is a bright landmark of sacred architecture in the Ukrainian Baroque style; AN-225 `dream` (above), under which the year of coinage is 2017; Tripol ceramics and ears (below).

On the reverse of the coin, the coat of arms of the region is depicted, in a circle there are inscriptions: KIEV REGION (above), FOUNDED IN 1932 (below).

Sectoral corrugation

Dedicated to the Kyiv region - the cradle of Kievan Rus, from which originates the national ancestry, the ethnic core around which Ukraine-Rus, its history and culture were formed. Kiev region is located in the north of Ukraine in the basin of the middle reaches of the Dnieper, mainly on the Right Bank. The region is rich in such minerals: granites, gneisses, brick-tiled clay, marl, building and quartz sand, peat, mineral waters. On the territory of Kyiv region there are 177 rivers (all of them belong to the Dnieper basin). In the region there are 130 territories and objects of natural reserve fund. Among them - a landmark of national importance arboretum Oleksandria. The basis of the economic potential is mechanical engineering, metalworking, food industry, developed agriculture.
