On the obverse of the coin, the inscription UKRAINE is placed in a semicircle at the top, under it is the small State Emblem of Ukraine; and the year of coinage 2005.

On the reverse of the coin there is a portrait of Lyatoshinsky and a semicircle of the inscription BORIS LYATOSHINSKY 1895 - in 1968.
