Right - embroidered towel and a quote from a letter Kulіshevogo wife Anna Barvinok: "It is quite another THING WOULD BE, if we are united / mouth and one / heart to work on awakening / SOCIO / NATIONAL / Consciousness / in Ukraine."

The reverse of the coin depicts a portrait of P. Kulish, to the left of which there are letters of the alphabet, to the right are the inscriptions: the years of his life are 1819/1897 and PANTELEMON / KULESH.

Dedicated to the famous writer, publicist, ethnographer, historian, literary critic, translator, public figure - Panteleimon Alexandrovich Kulish. P. Kulish is one of the most colorful figures of his time in Ukrainian literature. He is the author of phonetic spelling, which became the basis for the modernized Ukrainian spelling, the first Ukrainian historical novel (“Black Rada”), the father of Ukrainian literary translation (translated by Shakespeare, Byron, Heine, Goethe, Schiller, first translated the Bible in Ukrainian). Conducted active in shaping in the public mind the conviction about the vital need for the development of national literature, the Ukrainian language, without the normal functioning of which at all levels the progress of the nation is impossible.
