On the front side of the coin on the ring on the circumference there are inscriptions: in the upper part - "BANK OF RUSSIA", in the lower part - "2017". Left and right on the outer ring are images of the laurel and oak branch, respectively, the image elements of which are transferred to the disk. In the center of the disk there is a number "10" and the inscription "RUBLE" under it, denoting the denomination of the coin. Inside the number "0" there is a security element in the form of the number "10" and the inscription "RUB", observed from different angles of view to the coin's plane. The mint trade mark is located in the lower part of the disk.

On the reverse side of the coin on the disk there is an image of the emblem of the Tambov region, on the ring along the circumference there are inscriptions: in the upper part - "RUSSIAN FEDERATION", in the lower part - "TAMBOV REGION"

The lateral surface of the coins is corrugated with the inscriptions "TEN RUBLES", repeated twice, and separated by asterisks.

The coin has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 27.0 mm. The combined coin consists of two parts: a disk made of white metal and an outer ring made of yellow metal.
