On the obverse of the coin there are: at the top - the inscription UKRAINE (in a semicircle), in the center on a mirrored background - the emblem of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to the left of which is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, on the right - the sleeve insignia of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; under the emblem: the year the coin was minted - 2021 and the denomination - TEN UAH (in a semicircle); logo of the Banknote-Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (below to the right of the emblem of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine).

The reverse of the coin depicts a Ukrainian warrior with a weapon (left) and a stylized composition: military equipment against the background of camouflage; on the mirrored background there are inscriptions: LAND TROOPS OF THE AFU (in a semicircle on the right).

Dedicated to the troops, which are the basis and the main carrier of the combat power of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to their purpose and the scope of tasks assigned to them, they play a decisive role in the performance of the Armed Forces' functions both in peacetime and in wartime. The ground forces are a solid monolith of mechanized and tank forces, missile forces and artillery, army aviation, air defense units and subunits, special forces, logistics support units, and territorial defense brigades.
