On the obverse of the coin there are: the small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which there is an inscription “UKRAINE”; a fragment of the interior of the central nave, below, on a mirrored background, the denomination of the coin and the year of minting - 5 / UAH / 2021; logo of the Banknote-Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (bottom right).

The reverse of the coin depicts the facade of the temple building, at the top left of which is a lion and the inscription LIVOV (under the lion); inscriptions: GARRIZON CHURCH OF THE SAINTS APOSTLES PETER AND PAUL (in a semicircle on the left).

Dedicated to one of the shrines and distinctive highlights of the city - the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, built at the beginning of the 17th century. This building, dressed in baroque clothing, adorning the historical part of the city of Lev, is the largest Lviv temple that has survived different times, at certain periods of history it served as the garrison church of the city, a warehouse, a book depository, and in 2011 it again opened its doors to believers. During the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict in the East of Ukraine, the temple became not only a church where they pray for Ukrainian soldiers and funeral services for the dead members of the JFO, but also a museum and a volunteer center.
